Ozone is an energized form of oxygen. It forms in nature by the sun and also in lightening storms. Life could not exist on our planet without the ozone layer high in our atmosphere. Ozone protects us from harmful ultraviolet rays from the sun. When ozone is introduced into our bodies it creates a brief burst of oxygen which kills bacteria, fungi and deactivates viruses. It also stimulates the production of white blood cells that protect us from pathologic invaders. Ozone also increases interferons which orchestrates the immune system and in turn produces specialized cells that engulf and kill pathogens and abnormal cells.

Dr. Ueber trained at the Inland Institute of Aesthetic Dentistry, from which he received his certification in Fundamentals of Ozone Application. He is also a member of the International Association of Ozone in Healthcare
and Dentistry.

Use of ozone in dentistry can enhance dental treatment outcomes. By using different forms of ozone (gas, water, and oils), and placing them directly into infected pockets, periodontal disease can be arrested without the side effects of antibiotics and other pharmaceuticals. The use of ozone in root canals sterilizes all parts of the tooth down to the tiniest canals and tubules. This allows a sterile canal and retention of your natural teeth. Tooth decay (caries) can be halted with proper exposure to ozone/oxygen therapy, allowing minimal drilling of the tooth.
